Bilbo Baggins Festival
Come celebrate the legendary birthday of Bilbo Baggins at the Bilbo Baggins Birthday Festival on Sunday, October 19, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Alta Vista Botanical Gardens in Vista, CA. This magical, family-friendly gathering invites guests of all ages to dress in their finest Middle-earth attire—Hobbits, Elves, Dwarves, and Wizards welcome! Enjoy an enchanting evening filled with live performances by local teens, who will bring scenes from The Lord of the Rings to life through theater, song, and dance. This is a potluck-style celebration, so please bring a Middle-earth inspired dish to share—think lembas bread, meat pies, or anything fit for a Hobbit’s table. Admission is just $5 per person, with a maximum of $20 per family, and don’t forget to bring your own camping chairs to relax and enjoy the festivities. Set among the beautiful gardens, this whimsical event promises to be a heartwarming evening of food, fellowship, and fantasy—just the way Bilbo would have wanted.
